Why social-work CE is its own problem
Every state board treats social-work continuing education a little differently. Oregon expects 40 hours every two years with 6 in ethics, 6 in cultural competency, and 2 hours of suicide-risk training under ORS 676.866. California carries a one-time telehealth requirement on top of the 36 every renewal cycle. Washington’s 2-hour health-equity rule lives in WAC 246-810-049 and renews on a three-year cycle.
A generic CE tracker logs a course title and an hour count and leaves it to you to remember which subset of those hours satisfies which subcategory in which state. That works until you have two licenses, or until your renewal year arrives, or until the board asks for documentation.
Still Licensed is a tracker built specifically around the credential-scoped facts that social-work boards actually care about. We name the statutes. We cite the source. We let you tag a single course as ethics + cultural competency if it legitimately counts for both, then watch each subcategory move toward its required ceiling.

Questions clinicians ask
Does Still Licensed know my state’s social-work CE requirements?
Yes. Each state-credential pair has a primary-source-verified profile that names the hours, categories, and statute citations. Oregon ORS 676.866 (suicide risk), California’s one-time telehealth requirement, Washington’s 2-hour health-equity rule, and the others are encoded in the data model, not buried in a help article.
Which licenses are supported?
LCSW and LICSW today across Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, New York, Texas, Florida, and Illinois. LMSW where states recognize the credential. We do not list a credential we have not verified against the licensing board.
Can a single CE event count toward two state licenses?
Yes. A telehealth practitioner licensed in Oregon and Washington can log one course and have it count toward both renewal cycles. Multi-state membership lives in a junction table rather than a state column on each entry, which is why the math works.
How is this different from CE Broker, which my state requires me to use?
In states where CE Broker is the board-mandated reporter (Texas and Florida among our coverage), it remains the system you submit to. Still Licensed is the planning layer beneath it: deadline countdown, category awareness, multi-state visibility before you log into the regulator’s tool. Not a replacement, a complement.
